One of the shortest scriptures in the New Testament is John 11:35, Jesus wept. This was upon learning of the death of his friend Lazarus, whom he then raised from the dead.
I think our Savior often smiled and even laughed, although I have only found one reference to it.
And when Jesus had spoken these words he came again unto his disciples: and behold they did pray steadfastly, without ceasing, unto him; and he did smile upon them again; and behold they were white even as Jesus. 3Nephi 19:30, see also verse 25
What do you think? Someday I hope to kneel at the feet of the One who smiles on high.

I hope there are smiles and laughter in heaven. Ending solemnity wouldn't suit me at all.
I especially like Del Parson's painting of Jesus, "Christ's Love"
I like the thought of Jesus smiling a lot. I think it would be cool if they mentioned him laughing or singing though.

he is laughing his brains out ! Being with the father is such a joy...no way to keep it in ;-)
Jesus loves you when you smile, joy is the colour of love; let it become your daily prayer.
